200 Northwell physicians named in New York Magazine’s 2020 “Best Doctors”

Lenox Hill Hospital leads the way with 75 physicians listed

NEW YORK, NY —

A total of 200 physicians from Northwell Health have been named to New York Magazine’s 2020 “Best Doctors” list. Of the Northwell doctors listed, 75 were from Lenox Hill Hospital and 16 were from its Manhattan, Eye Ear & Throat Hospital.

Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco had 30 physicians named in “Best Doctors,” while Northwell affiliate Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn placed 28 physicians and Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park landed 15 pediatric specialists on the list.

North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset and Staten Island University Hospital North each had 12 physicians on the list while Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park had seven physicians recognized. Huntington Hospital, Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, Southside Hospital, Syosset Hospital and Zucker Hillside Hospital also each had one physician named in the list.

New York Magazine compiles the annual “Best Doctors” list based on peer-reviewed surveys from Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a New York-based research and information company. This year’s list features a total of 1,352 physicians from the tri-state area covering 67 specialties. Below is a breakdown of the 200 Northwell physicians based on hospital affiliation and clinical specialty. Of the 200 physicians, 79 are members of Northwell Health Physician Partners, the health system’s medical group practice.
